Hecale came into existence as a resource for the aspiring author. Our Magazines & E-zines
section displays an alphabetical selection of such sites, utilizing
imagery and information provided therein, to establish a gateway to the
many and varied publications available to submit work in what we hope
is also a visually appealing and stimulating manner. In our Writing Resources section, you will find similarly presented databases, workshops, events, competition listings and a small but useful array of writing tools. Whilst it is not our intention to offer ourselves every possible path, we do strive to create signposts to those that do. |

Beyond our linked resources, we offer writers the opportunity to showcase themselves in our Words
directory: a short biography and samples of work, published or
otherwise, along with any links required. As it grows, it's our hope it
becomes a popular and populated resource in its own right. For those
interested in submitting, please do read the guidelines for the length, type of material and acceptable formats. |
The Hearth
contains the entrance to our fledgling forum where guests can comment
and discuss aspects of the site and leave literary titbits for others.
You'll also find general site news and links to material that whilst
not strictly connected with our ambitions as a resource, we hope is of
interest to those of a creative bent - literary review sites, band
biographies, graphic fiction - in addition to a collection of handy
